SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Public Health on Wednesday announced 1759 new coronavirus cases. 30 people have died from complications from the virus as reported to the state in the past 24 hours, with 17 of those in the Chicagoland area. Also reported by the state on Wednesday was a death in LaSalle County, a man in his 90s, which the LaSalle County Health Department previously disclosed to the public on Tuesday.
