SPRINGFIELD – 2,295 more cases of COVID-19 were reported by the Illinois Department of Public Health on Wednesday, along with 25 additional deaths. In total, there have been 211,889 cases since the beginning of the pandemic, and 7,806 deaths. Within the past 24 hours, laboratories have reported over 50,000 test specimens processed, the most tests done in a single day since the start of the pandemic.
