PERU – A LaSalle man is facing felony charges for delivering a look-alike substance to police investigating drug sales. The Peru Police Department say on Wednesday night they took 24-year-old Daniel J. Harkins into custody after he allegedly delivered a substance a lab confirmed was not drugs to undercover agents. He was charged with a class 3 felony for unlawful delivery and taken to the LaSalle County Jail. Harkins is being held on a $15,000 bond.
