SPRINGFIELD — The Illinois Department of Public Health announced statewide 1,617 more people were confirmed to carry COVID-19. Bureau County reported one new death of a person in their 80’s on Tuesday, with 13 new infections. Livingston County reported seven new cases, LaSalle County saw six, Lee County with two, and Putnam with one. Across the state health officials also attributed 32 more Illinois deaths to the virus, raising the pandemic death toll to 8,836.
