SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Public Health on Monday announced another 11,632 new confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19 in Illinois, including 37 additional deaths. There have been a total of 10,779 deaths in the state related to the novel coronavirus since the pandemic began. As of Sunday the IDPH reports that over 5,200 were hospitalized statewide due to the disease and 514 were on ventilators. The current seven-day statewide positivity rate is at 14.7%.
