SPRINGFIELD – 13,012 new probable and confirmed cases of COVID-19 were confirmed Friday by the Illinois Department of Public Health, including 126 deaths. Included in those deaths were 2 individuals from Bureau County, 4 from LaSalle County, and 1 from DeKalb County. Illinois has seen a total of 634,395 cases since the start of the pandemic with 11,304 deaths. As of Thursday evening, over 6,000 individuals in the state were reported to be in the hospital with COVID-19 around 1,000 in the ICU and 604 on ventilators.
