STREATOR – Streator Elementary School District will renew its school resource officer contract with the city. City Manager David Plyman says the contract maintains the district’s contribution for SRO services but also includes a shift in crossing guard duties. Under the contract, the district has proposed to use district employees versus city employees to perform the job. The city says they will credit the district for the services by reducing payment for SRO services by around $5,000.
