STREATOR – Streator Elementary School District has enrolled three new students, golden doodle puppies! The dogs that will serve the students in many different ways are all thanks to Streator United Way’s Therapy Dog Program. Director Elizabeth Palm says each dog will go to each elementary building, Kimes, Northlawn, and Centennial.
The dogs will begin training in early November to eventually be full-time but will start off attending the schools one day a week.
