STREATOR – Streator City Council has appointed their newest council member. After much deliberation over three candidates on Thursday night, council members nominated Tim Geary. Geary was ecstatic when he was given the news and said he felt like his name got called to be a contestant on The Price is Right. Mayor Jimmie Lansford thanks all candidates who applied for showing interest in the community. He hopes those applicants will consider running in the next scheduled election.
