PERU – Three Peru Police Officers were commended for their service this summer when they rescued a woman out of pond. At the Peru City Council meeting, Peru Police Chief Robert Pyszka recalled the August 10th incident where police responded to a woman driving a vehicle in the wrong lane. When the offers made contact with her, the woman proceeded to drive into a pond near Eakas Corporation.
Chief Pyszka gave a special shoutout to the officers involved, Officer Matt Peters, Erin Goza, and Hunter Wright.
