MENDOTA – A Mendota man is being held on drug and weapons charges after a Tri-County Drug Enforcement Narcotics Team investigation. Mendota Police took 32-year-old Matthew J Watson into custody on Monday on a La Salle County warrant for Unlawful Delivery Controlled Substance (Cocaine) following an investigation conducted by TriDent. During the arrest Watson was also charged by Mendota Police with Unlawful use of Weapons. He was taken to the LaSalle County Jail and is being held on a $250,000 bond.
TriDent consists of LaSalle, Streator, Princeton, Oglesby, Ottawa and Mendota Police Departments along with LaSalle, Bureau and Putnam County Sheriff’s Offices.
