Peru Elementary start off school year with added police presence

PERU – The Peru Police Department are adding patrols in and around the Peru Elementary Schools this year. In an effort to combat speeding and provide safety for little ones, officers will be in each school zone mornings and afternoons. Peru Elementary Superintendent Jamie Craven noted they welcome Peru Police officers and appreciate their support. Peru Police also intend to have regular walk-throughs with building staff.
