LASALLE – Ameren has selected a route with the state for the LaSalle Link Project. According to Ameren Illinois, the company filed a primary route with the Illinois Commerce Commission requesting their review and approval of the LaSalle Link Project, the new 138 kV transmission line that will connect the Corbin substation in Oglesby to the North Utica substation. The primary route will run from Oglesby, north to LaSalle and shoot around Interstate-80 down to the North Utica Substation. Ameren has submitted an application to the ICC for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity for the Project. The expected timing for a decision is early next year. If approved, easement negotiations will begin with affected landowners in mid 2023 with construction anticipated to start in Spring 2024.
