UNDATED – Harvest in LaSalle County is coming to a close on a positive note, but now the concern is getting grain exported. Farm Bureau President David Isermann says harvest this year is one of the better seasons the area has seen in quite a while.
Soybeans are about %100 complete in the county, and corn is not too far behind with some farmers in the northern region wrapping up the season by next week. Iserman says now is the time the region could use some rain to prep the subsoil for next season, and to keep rivers high enough to export grain.
