PERU — The LP Art Club created a unique mural and painted it in the teen area of the Illinois Valley YMCA. There are 12 students in the club, eight of which worked on the project. Sponsor Julie Jenkins said that “we were excited to take on the challenge and create something for our community.” Future projects include continuing on the mural on the backside of Cody Burroughs State Farm office.
Students who were involved with the mural include: Annie Bangert-senior; Dexter Nunez-junior; Danica Scoma-junior; Samuel Dickey-junior; Ian Shevlin-freshman; Tiff Grygiel-freshman; Mackenzie McCoy-freshman; and CJ Moriarty-freshman.
