STREATOR – Families filled Streator Township High School’s Ag Shop for the first day of Farm Fair on Tuesday evening. Children had the opportunity to not only learn about and pet farm animals, but also plant seeds to take home. Streator FFA members will be conducting activities each day for kids, serving ice cream and popcorn Wednesday and Thursday. Sage McNiell, junior and coordinator of this year’s event says it’s a great way to get kids out and educated on farm animals. This year you can find ponies, mules, sheep, and a baby calf. The fair will be open from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday.
