Local teens move on to World Curling Mixed Championship

DENVER, CO — Bella and Mae Hagenbuch, students at St. Bede Academy spent last week in Denver, Colorado competing in the Mixed National Championships of Curling with their teammates Cameron Rittenour of Fargo-Moorhead Curling Club, Fargo, North Dakota and Jed Brundidge of Chaska Curling Center, Chaska, MN.  They went 6-2 for the week, taking home the gold medal and moving on to represent the United States in the World Curling Mixed Championship this fall.
Bella and Mae curl out of Waltham Curling Club in Triumph, Illinois and Windy City Curling Club in Villa Park, Illinois. Bella is a junior at St. Bede and Mae is a freshman.
