MENDOTA – The dogs that come to the Mendota dog park may have plenty of space to rollover, fetch, and runaround, but the owners do not have a place to rest. Alderwoman Vicki Johnson reminded residents that if anyone wants to donate funds to get park benches installed, the city is accepting those now. You can even choose to buy an entire bench and have it dedicated to the memory of a dog that has passed away. The city will be picking out a couple different bench styles and those wanting to contribute can help choose which bench they would like to donate towards or purchase fully. The prices will range from $700 to $2000.
“I think the dog park is a great addition to our city” said 4th Ward Alderwoman Vicki Johnson, “and I think our community will use it, especially when all the equipment gets out there.”
