Local cooling centers to help beat the heat

As the temperatures begin to rise today and tomorrow, please keep cool and hydrated.  Check on loved ones and keep pets indoors as much as possible.  If you need a reprieve from the heat, there are some local cooling centers to help beat the heat.
  • LaSalle Library 10 am to 6 pm
  • Marseilles City Hall 8am to 4:30pm
  • Mendota Area Senior Services at the Mendota Civic Center 8 am to 4 pm
  • Mendota Police Department
  • Oglesby City Hall 7am to 4:30pm
  • Ottawa Police & Fire Station 8 am to 4:30 pm
  • Ottawa Reddick Library Wednesday and Thursday 9 am to 7 pm
  • Ottawa Pads Shelter remains open to the public
  • Ottawa City Hall Wednesday and Thursday 8 am to 4:30 pm
  • Ottawa Salvation Army Wednesday and Thursday 9 am to 4 pm
  • Ottawa Open Table Church Wednesday and Thursday 9 am to 5 pm
  • Peru City Hall until 9 pm today and Thursday
  • Utica Village Hall Wednesday and Thursday 8 am to 6 pm
  • Utica Library Wednesday 1 pm to 6 pm & Thursday 11 am to 6 pm
