MENDOTA – Mendota Township High School has found a new athletic director for the 2023-2024 school year. Superintendent Denise Aughenbaugh announced Thursday that Mr. Brock Zinke will take on the duties previously handled by Steve Hanson, who held the role for the previous six years before joining La Salle-Peru as their athletic director. Zinke has taught and coached at Mendota High School since 2013.
“Brock brings a great deal of leadership and experience to the MHS Athletic Department. He knows Mendota High School as a former student-athlete and alumni, teacher, and coach.” said Aughenbaugh.
Zinke currently serves as the Driver’s Education Department Chair, and is the district’s Instructional Coach. He has also coached multiple sports at Mendota High School, including baseball, softball, football, and wrestling. As an educator, he also has taught Social Studies.
