IVCC Student named All American in Basketball

Oglesby – Illinois Valley Community College sophomore guard Julia Pohar, of Peru, has been named to the National Junior College Athletic Association Division 2 All American Third Team, IVCC coach Tom Ptak announced Thursday.  The St. Bede graduate averaged 21 points per game and led the Eagles to a co-conference championship.  Previously, Pohar had been named MVP fo the Arrowhead Conference, and was named one of 12 Thomas J. McCormack scholars, IVCC’s highest academic achievement.
