MENDOTA – A Walnut man was not hurt after the tractor trailer he was driving rolled over Monday afternoon north of Meriden. Around 4 p.m. Mendota and Troy Grove Fire Departments were called to a propane tanker that had left the roadway on East 7th Rd/Angling Road near the Lee County Line in Northern LaSalle County. According to the LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office, 63-year-old Steven Capes stated he was traveling south when his passenger front tire left the roadway. He was able to return the tractor to the roadway but the trailer remained in the ditch and caused the truck to roll. No citations were issued.
