Bureau County Full Scale Disaster Drill Saturday

SPRING VALLEY – The Bureau County Emergency Management Agency will be simulating a tornado disaster in the area and coordinating mock evacuations of health care facilities. The exercise will start at 8 a.m. and run until 2 p.m. at many locations, including St. Margaret’s Hospital, Perry Memorial Hospital, Liberty Village in Princeton, Manor Court in Peru, and Walnut manor in Walnut. Local police and fire will be taking part in the drill as well to test the readiness of the Mass Care Operation plans in the county.
