Country music runs deep in Ashley’s roots. As a young girl, her parents would listen to vinyl records of George Jones, Tammy Wynette, Bill Anderson and others on their turntable. In 1989, Ashley waltzed into a radio station and said, “I want to be on the air.” She was told to show up at midnight on Saturday and the rest is history. Lite Rock is where she started. However, when Ashley got her first taste of being on a country station, it was like Strawberry Wine. She never looked back. Country music has taken her down the back roads of Illinois. Ashley stayed in the Midwest, until all four of her daughters had attended K-12 at the same school. One by one, they moved to Texas. When the last one graduated in 2020, she followed her to Fort Worth. Ashley has been doing what she loves for more than 30 years and she’s blessed to spend her days with you!
You can catch Ashley every weekday for the Midday Show from 10 am until 2 pm on WGLC.
