State Trooper Injured In Ogle County Crash

ROCHELLE- An Illinois State Trooper was injured in a multi-vehicle crash Monday night near Rochelle.    According to the Illinois State Police around 6:45 p.m. a trooper was inside his car with lights activated while conducting a traffic stop when a tractor trailer allegedly overcorrected during a lane change and had it’s trailer damage the vehicles parked on the shoulder.   The truck also struck another tractor-trailer in the adjacent lane.  A fifth vehicle was damaged by debris in the incident, which took place just south of the Illinois 64 exit.  The trooper was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  
The driver of the truck who struck the police car was issued citations for violation of Scott’s Law and Improper Lane Usage.
