LITTLE ROCK – A Somonauk man may be facing charges after a Tuesday morning standoff in Kendall County. Around 1:30 AM the Kendall County Sheriff’s Department say they were called to the area of Little Rock Road and Vilmin Road for a report of a single vehicle accident. Deputies and officers from the Plano Police Department located the vehicle, which was occupied by 45-year-old John Kvicky, who was allegedly armed with a handgun, reportedly refused police orders to exit the vehicle. Following a 4 hour standoff, negotiators were eventually able to convince Kvicky to surrender, and he was taken into custody by members of the Kendall County Special Response Team.
He was transported to a hospital for evaluation, however, no charges were announced.
