VERONA – The Grundy County Sheriff’s Office announced Monday that a woman who had been found deceased after a fire was a victim of a homicide. They say that 39-year-old Elizabeth Ann Link was a victim of an undetermined inflicted trauma. It was May 14th when authorities were called to rural Verona for a structure fire in the 3200 block of South Verona Road. Grundy County Sheriff Ken Briley and Coroner John Callahan say that the investigation is ongoing and anyone with any information is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office.
