OGLESBY – 928 high school students enrolled in Illinois Valley Community College’s dual credit courses in the 2018-19 school year, generating nearly 6,000 credit hours. According to IVCC’s Audit-Finance committee, its 10 percent of total enrollment. The college is hopeful the recent hiring of five new faculty will rejuvenate existing programs and continue to bolster enrollments. The board recently approved appointments in welding, industrial maintenance, agriculture and nursing. Facility upgrades include a storage and routine maintenance building for the agriculture program.
