Yednock blasts Vistra Energy’s decision to close Hennepin Power Plant

OTTAWA – State Rep. Lance Yednock, D-Ottawa, issued the following statement following Vistra executive’s decision to close the Hennepin Power Plant:

“Vistra Energy’s decision to close the Hennepin power plant, and several others across Illinois, will only hurt local employees and their families. Hennepin’s facility not only helped provide power to our communities but is a major part of the local economy and the economic security of many families. I remain committed to working with local and state leaders to help ensure that these workers receive the assistance and support they deserve.”
