MANLIUS – A student is in custody after the Bureau Valley School District received notification of alleged threats to their high school. According to a post from Bureau Valley School District officials, the threat came from a student who was not on school grounds. The administration and staff reportedly performed safety protocol steps to ensure the safety of all students and staff in the building. Bureau County Sheriff’s contained the situation by placing the student into custody. The incident is under investigation. District officials say they take all threats seriously and will continue to investigate any and all allegations to ensure that they provide the safest environment possible.
