YORKVILLE – A Kendall County man was arrested Thursday and charged with 10 felonies involving child pornography. In July of 2019, the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation into an online user who allegedly was in possession of child pornography. After they identified a suspect, the Illinois Attorney General’s Office of High Tech Crime Bureau, the Yorkville Police Department, and Kendall County Deputies executed two search warrants. As a result of the investigation, they took 39-year-old Jason Michael Leifheit of Yorkville into custody and charged him with 4 class X felonies for dissemination or reproduction of child pornography, and 6 class 2 felonies for possession. He was taken to the Kendall County Jail with bond yet to be set.
