SPRING VALLEY – Spring Valley needs your help picking up leaves this fall. Public Works Superintendent Jeff Norton says his department is in need of a couple people to help out with this year’s leaf pick-up. The job would require two people, one to operate a truck and the other to work the machine, an all days task for five days a week. The city council agreed to seek out temporary help for a few months to keep the program going. Norton wants to get a move on as the program starts in mid October until snowfall. Norton announced that the public works department will be starting hydrant flushing for the season within the next two weeks.
