MARSEILLES – A suspicious person is being sought after a resident complained of an unusual interaction with a visitor at her door on Tuesday night in Marseilles. According to the Marseilles Police Department, a man allegedly knocked on the door of a home on Clark Street around 5:45 PM and reportedly was dressed similar to a law enforcement officer. The resident said that the person claimed they were responding to a noise complaint and advised her to keep it down. The suspect is described as a 6 foot tall medium build male with dark hair and small goatee, who was wearing a dark colored uniform, a bullet proof vest, taser, handcuffs and a gun. After a brief conversation, the resident stated the person left in a black SUV. Anyone with any information on this incident is asked to contact the Marseilles Police Department.
