UNDATED – A full moon weekend is upon us, the first of many this year. Beginning Friday evening through Monday, the universe will experience the first supermoon of 2020. According to the Maine Farmer’s Almanac, Native American tribes had names for the moons calling this season’s the Snow Moon, because of the heavy snowfall.
According to Weatherology’s Director of Meteorology Laura Lockwood, this year will be the first to follow a number of supermoons.
The moon will be at its fullest around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday.
