SPRINGFIELD – Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker announced he is changing the upcoming Phase 3 reopening of Illinois. At Wednesday’s press briefing in Springfield, Prttzker said Illinois restaurants and bars will now be allowed to reopen with outdoor seating, and all state parks will be allowed to reopen. Previously, restaurants could only do carry out, delivery, and drive thru. Pritzker said Illinois is not out of the woods, but “things are getting better. And because of these advances, we are able to make some modifications to allow more activity during Phase Three.” Currently, Illinois is in phase two, but all four districts of the state are on track to move to the less restrictive phase three under the state’s “Reopen Illinois” plan. The loosening of the restrictions are expected to take place May 29th
