OTTAWA – A piece of Ottawa history is getting a new logo. The Reddick Mansion Association announced that along with their renovation of the property, they will be improving the looks of their branding to help market the attraction in the future.
“We’re very excited to reveal the first ever brand logo developed for the Reddick Mansion,” announced Donna Nordstrom, chair of the Marketing Committee at the Reddick Mansion Association.
Working with Amanda Hart of Amanda Hart Design, Ottawa, IL, the marketing committee of Reddick Mansion Association (RMA) “met” throughout the coronavirus lockdown, communicating via e-mail, phone calls and virtual meetings. Hart provided the committee with a list of criteria for selecting the logo design including memorability, distinctiveness, and timelessness.
After reviewing several options provided by Hart, the marketing committee decided the logo should highlight one of the unique architectural details of the Mansion. In June, the logo depicting the beautiful front stairs of the building was selected by the entire RMA board of directors.
“We will be incorporating our new logo into all of our signage, advertising, stationery, website and Facebook pages. We hope, ultimately, people will see our logo and immediately think of the Reddick Mansion,” said Nordstrom.
