PERU – Peru plans to offer free public WiFi at their parks. Earlier this week, the city of Peru approved upgrades to the city’s fiber hubs with M.J. Electric, LLC for just over $100,000. According to City Engineer Eric Carls, plans have been expedited from a 3-year plan to a 3-month plan to get WiFi up and running at Veteran’s Memorial Park first, then Centennial Park, and Washington Park by the end of the year.
