MENDOTA – The building that was the former home of a pizza business will be getting an exterior makeover. At the Monday night Mendota City Council meeting they announced a $7,000 facade grant to the building at 701 Washington Street. The location, which is on the corner where US Route 34 turns onto Washington Street, will be getting tuck-pointed, new doors and windows, and an accessibility ramp installed. The Mendota Historic Preservation and Restoration Commission will reimburse the owners, Jamie & Jesus Orozco once the work is completed.
