CHICAGO – For the Fourth of July weekend, motorists hitting the road will see gas prices much like those of Memorial Day Weekend, steep. According to the American Automobile Association, crude oil prices are likely to continue to climb following the holiday and through the end of summer. Locally, LaSalle, Bureau and Putnam County gas prices have remained high, averaging around $3.22 per gallon. Statewide, drivers can expect to pay an average of $3.36 per gallon, up ten cents more than last month.
