MENDOTA – Downtown Mendota will host a band and dining opportunities thanks to the organization Re-Imagine Mendota. On October 16th from 6-10 PM Illinois Avenue will be closed for a performance by the “Free Beer & Chicken” band, plus they’ll have food and a beer garden. Steve Laurer said that they will be raising funds for new street sign poles that match the new street lamps that have already been installed. The Fall Festival will have pork chops, brats for sale and Main Street Station will be serving alcoholic beverages.
