SPRINGFIELD – On Tuesday Governor J.B. Pritzker signed a bill allowing the sale of cocktails for pickup and delivery in Illinois. Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, restaurants and bars have been unable to sell mixed drinks for consumption off-site. The bipartisan legislation changes a portion of the 1934 Liquor Control Act and will allow sealed container delivery and carry out sales. The Governor said the change will provide these businesses with a critical tool to bring in additional income until they can safely and fully reopen their doors once more.
