OTTAWA – Ottawa Mayor Dan Aussem plans to re-convene workshops on issues that have been on hold since the pandemic, namely food truck regulations. Aussem says he would like to gather input from the public and food truck vendors through once-a-month meetings on whether restrictions and fees should be implemented. The city of LaSalle just recently placed rules on food trucks, requiring annual fees and only permits vendors in the city for private parties or special events. The city of Streator also requires all food truck vendors to get a license approved by the city.
