CHERRY – A combine fire in a soybean field was quickly extinguished Friday. The Cherry Fire Department along with the Arlington Fire Department were called to a field north east of Cherry around 4:30 PM. Both departments acted quickly to prevent the spread of the fire to the rest of the machinery. No injuries were reported.
