OTTAWA – The polls opened at 6 AM Tuesday for the spring election in the state of Illinois. Many civic positions are on the ballot today, including contested mayoral races in Utica, Peru and Spring Valley. Also on the ballot dozens of other races for positions in most communities. Polling places close at 7 PM tonight.
