The Prairie Singers will be performing their annual Christmas concert at the Reddick Mansion on Friday, December 9th and Saturday, December 10th. This year’s program, “Songs in the Night at Jesus’s Birth,” will focus on the manger scene, the Holy Family, and their visitors that night. The Prairie Singers, who are celebrating their 29th Christmas season, are a chamber ensemble made up of singers from LaSalle, Grundy, Livingston, and Kendall counties. The performances will begin at 7:00pm on both evenings. The Mansion will be open 30 minutes before each performance. Tickets are $18.00 for the concert and refreshments. Reservations are required and seating is limited to 40 people per performance. Payment options include cash, check and credit card. For reservations, contact the Mansion at 815.433.6100 or make your reservation online at www.reddickmansion.org.
The Reddick Mansion, at 100 West Lafayette Street in Ottawa, Illinois was completed by 1858, the time of the first Lincoln-Douglas Debate, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Sites. The building is open for tours and also available for rent for special events.
