STHS Snowball Color Fun Run/Walk Event

Streator Township High School’s Snowball Organization is sponsoring its 1st ever Snowball Color Fun Run/Walk.  It is a non-timed event.  It will take place on Sunday, September 25th at 10am at Marilla Park.  This Fun Run is the “kick-off” to STHS homecoming week activities and is a run/walk which covers the runners in colored powder while running!  The cost is $255/runner ($15/student).  The money raised from this event will help to cover a portion of the cost of the speaker who will be brought in to kick-off Red Ribbon week, later in the school year and to cover the cost of a Mid-Year Conference which members of the student group attend.  Registration and check-in for the race begins at 9am with the race beginning promptly at 10am.  Registration forms are available in the main office or by contacting Ms. Tiffany Park at 202 W. Lincoln Ave., Streator, IL 61364 or by e-mail tpark@streatorhs.org.  Make checks payable to SHS Snowball.  Registration by September 1st is recommended in order to guarantee a t shirt order.  If registering late a white t shirt is recommended for the race.  Participants are encouraged to bring another shirt or towel for after the race.  Snowball is a drug/alcohol/bully-free group at Streator High School.
