MAZON – A Grundy County man is dead after being struck by a car in front of his home Saturday. Authorities say 63-year-old John A. Cravens Jr. was near his mailbox around 2:30 PM in the 700 block of East Grand Ridge Road when he was hit by an eastbound vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The death is currently under investigation by the Grundy County Coroner’s Office and the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office.
