Hands-Only CPR training will be offered at Streator High School

 

STREATOR – OSF Healthcare will be hosting a Hands-Only CPR and AED training event at Streator High School on Tuesday and Wednesday. Research shows Hands-Only CPR is just as effective in the first few minutes of sudden cardiac arrest outside of a hospital. Educators will demonstrate to the entire high school student body throughout the school days the new method without mouth-to-mouth breaths in sessions scheduled throughout the school day. The classes will be taught by Jordan Meeks, a pediatric wellness specialist from OSF HealthCare Children’s Hospital of Illinois.
