LASALLE – A member of the Hegeler-Carus family has passed away. Mary Louise Carus was born in 1922 and died on November 3rd. A memorial celebration will be held at the Hegeler Carus Mansion at 3:00 p.m. December 1st. Carus’ ashes and memorial book will be available for visitation and inscription from noon to 5:00 p.m., December 2nd through the 6th at the mansion. Director Tricia Kelly say Carus was a major benefactor for the Starved Rock Area arts organization and the completion of the mansion’s parlor.
