STREATOR – Streator received news from the Illinois Department of Transportation of a resurfacing project for Route 18. Earlier this week, Mayor Jimmie Lansford announced that Route 18 from 251 to the west end of Streator city limits will be re-milled and resurfaced this summer. No details yet on when work will begin. According to Mayor Lansford the project will depend on state level funding.
